I know, I know! Inklens suggestion is for us to use 1.9.2 But, I'm curious to see what version of scratch live most Mix emergency users are using and how it's been working so far. Thanks Alex.

From the people I have talked to, a lot are using either 1.9.2 or 2.2.

I use 2.0... 1.9.2 i think might be better, but anything higher is not good

I've just started using 1.9.2 after mega problems with the latest version. Crashing, corrupt files etc. If you want everything to just work & be 99.9% sure it's not gonna crash in the middle of a set and you don't need all the new stuff on the later versions just stick with 1.9.2 I was using 2.2 but had a crash on that too.

I use 1.9.2 to bring my music/videos in because I cannot import tracks from iTunes on 2.0 or 2.1 (never tried 2.2 or 2.3) and i play with 2.0

To be more accurate: -I had one crash exiting SL yesterday night, (first time since the 2.3.3 release while spinning 6 hours a night 5 to 6 nights a week) -And 2 vids out of a whole bunch that showed up as corrupted when I first rescanned all my files. -I also got a few mp4s and m4vs that have their overview being rebuilt every single time I load them But as a whole this is for me the most stable version since 1.9 which I would still use if I didnt own a 68

Thanks for the honesty. I posted the same question on the serato forum and got so much ish in response. Everything from being asked what i was scared of to one dude writing about his system rentals and his three SL4 boxes and if i wasnt running the latest serato and rented his system i would be screwed and BLA BLA BLA So again, i thank you all for your honesty. People like the above mentioned with their "Everything i have is the best" attitude annoy the crap out of me.

but thats why we use ME cause we want to use everything that is the best. And i also do have a new MBP and and SL4 with ME and CDJ's 2000's so theres nothing wrong with owning and using the best gear.

as long as all tags are recently scanned and overviews are done (since going to 2.3.3). drives aren't corrupt and you arent putting extra stress on your machine...its butter baby. I have little doubt that ME 2.0 will crush vsl 2.0 been using ttm57 + macbook pro + dicers + kontrol x1 for months and never been happier (still excited as ish to buy the 62)

192 is my fave. i'm starting to use 200 with ME now and so far it's been good. dunno why since there is a major cpu increase with 200. other than that, there is nothing much that 200 and up offers me. sooner or later i'm gonna have to upgrade, esp if i purchase the 62 mixer.

i highly recommend using 2.3.3. i can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to restrict their feature-set and value-add by using a an older version. it's like using windows xp. anyways i have been using 2.3.3 and every beta since 1.9.2 and aside from the tag writing issue i have had no problems. and with 2.3.3. i did a full analysis of my library. 2.3.3. has been working flawlessly.

I agree with Nyce. Why everyone hasn't upgrade to 2.3.3. blows me away. I setup my SL4 at the club i work at and upgrade people's SSL all the time cause i wont let them unhook my box once its plugged in and wire up there SL1.
