OMG I'm having the same problem and worse. I recently bought a 13" MBP 2.66 core 2 duo 4bg ram nvidia 320m 256mb. At first it seemed to work flawlessly with SSL and ME. This past Saturday i started noticing the glitches when i load songs, exactly like the video okdoggman posted. I set out to reproduce the situation when i got home but i couldn't even get ME running because the system cpu was around 95% when i opened ME, slowing my OS X down to the point i could barely move the pointer. When i tried to load a song in SSL, it froze and stayed frozen until i force closed several minutes later. I spent the entire day trying to sort this out and i figured out that as soon as i load ME while serato is running SSL freezes and the system chokes to a crawl with activity monitor saying system cpu usage is 95% or higher. If i close ME the system comes back a few minutes later. I'd love to go back to just glitching. Maybe i should take my MBP back even though 2 weeks has passed and thus my return period has expired at microcenter. I tried switching out the internal drive, updating to the latest os x, I do not have perian installed, I'm so screwed :s Oh how i wish ME was on PC also. Please help!
