Weird Glitch When Video Loads

Ok Ive been getting a weird Audio Video Glitch Kind of like a Stutter when I load a MP4 Or a visual I bought a new Mac book Pro 13 And it start happening, It worked fine on My macbook 13 But cant get it to work on My Macbook Pro My specs Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro7,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz If anyone has had this Problem Plz help thx

Plus It Happens with Serato 1.9.2 as well as the Updated 2.2 Im not sure what to do cause I like playing With ME much better then Vsl and would really like to use my new Macbook Pro instead of reverting back to my Mac Book.

That's strange. Does it also occur when you load an MP4 file without MixEmergency or VSL running? And are you playing the videos from and internal or external drive?

It doesn't happen when I don't play videos and also it doesn't Happen when I play Vsl. all my videos are on my internal, it's a 500 gig 7200 Rpm Drive With 100 gig of space Left all Videos MP4 No Keyframe Problems. But when I play mix emergency it does Glitch. Ive tried so many different things, I reinstalled, turned off any effects. if I play ME in Standalone mode it has no problem But soon as I play it with serato I get the glitch when I load a track, but Vsl seems to not have this Problem. Maybe I should Record what Happens so you can get a Idea.

Yeah, I'd be interested to see a video. Also, can you check your free memory levels (using the Activity Monitor application) while this is happening. What do you have the MixEmergency cache set to in the Advanced panel of MixEmergency's preferences?

Cache is set at 2GB

Wow - I've never seen anything like that before. Can you try reducing the Cache size from the highest setting (2GB) to the lowest setting (200MB) and see if that has any effect?

Yes, it is very weird. It's not something I've ever heard of happening to any other user. Let me know how you get on. I suspect the cache might be causing the problem, but if not then I will need to have a good think about what might be going on. A few more questions: Does it occur for every video you load? And does it occur for the first few videos you load? Also, perhaps you can try simply ejecting a track in SL instead of loading a new one straight away and see if that has any effect? (and this will give us a clue as to whether it is the ejection or loading of a track that is causing the issue) And once it is ejected, then try loading the next track and see if it occurs.

It does not happen on every video I load, and it seems to get more progressive the longer I play, Like I said I could not get it to Stutter or even Glitch when I did a 2 hour run through at Home but soon as I started at the club BOOM started glitching with in the first 3 Minutes. Ill try what you suggest tonight and get back with you Asap

Strange that it should only do it at the club. Can you also check to see what the settings are in the Display panel of the System Preferences for the output monitor when you're in the club (e.g. resolution, refresh rate, etc)?

Yes its weird that it only Happens in the Club, Display setting for my output is 640X480 60hz Im gonna really try to trouble shoot this Before the weekend, Really want to have it running

Are you using the same type of adaptor for both monitors?

Ok check this out Last Night at the club I Hook everything up I use a powered Usb Hub to hook up my Midi Controller (Denon Hc1000s) and my Pc to Tv Video Card, Hooked my Mixer up Directly into my Mac, Set my Cache in Mixemergency to 200 MB Omg not 1 Problem, No Problems at all, I use to play and be very Cautious But after awhile I forgot I even Had Problems. I will do further Testing and make sure I keep everything the same the next Time I DJ. If everything continues To Work I will Post my exact Settings incase Anyone every Runs into this Problem.

Cool - glad to hear that it's sorted. Let me know if you find out anything else. You could also try increasing the cache level to something higher, such as 400 or 800 MB and see what effect that has.

ok Had a few Glitches but not like it use to be Im not sure exactly what Ive done different but I played with my macbook 13 not my Pro and didnt have any Problems, have you ever Heard of weird Glitches on Macbook Pros? anyway Im Djing tonight and gonna Try the settings you suggest.

I haven't heard of anything similar to the glitches you're having on any of the Mac range of computers.

Wow A ton of Glitches last night, I'm gonna uninstall the reinstall but wow I can't believe I'm having so Much Trouble with this. Is there a 1.4 download I can try? I really love your product and really want to use it. Anymore suggestions?

Also, while I hope that this would not be the problem, can you make sure that you've fully analysed your Scratch Live library with the version that you're using (I assume you're sticking with 2.2?).
