You should be able to use any Firewire DV camera (or Firewire DV capture card), or any USB webcam that QuickTime is able to use.

Thanks DJ Nyce Yea, i have been looking for a good cam to hook up at the club. I would like to turn it around and show the dancefloor and stuff. I just didnt know what was a good camera to use for low light like that in a nightclub

I just downloaded this file but I am not sure what folder to drag it into? Is is in the mix emergency folder somewhere? Im running the latest 1.5 version of ME. I would like to live stream at the club on somenights. thanks.

You drag the file onto either the left or right preview window. This will cause the hidden feature to activate on that channel. I'm not too sure about HD cameras - I haven't tried any HD cameras myself.

thanks for the response. Im sorry I meant. which webcams have been tested to work? Im looking at a few Logitec HD webcams.

Oh, ok. I haven't tested any USB web-cams myself - only Firewire devices. I'm sure there are a few users who have tried them that might be able to chime in though.

I went out and bought a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 . Works ok. What firewire cameras have you tested? Im looking to get something with maybe a light or good in real low light conditions so I can try to broadcast at the clubs. Only thing with fire wire is my ext HD is firewire. I only have one firewire port.

I'm not sure of the brands, but I've tried out a few older model DV cameras.... and of course iSight cameras. I wouldn't have any idea as to which cameras would work well under low-light conditions.

I have heard of some djs using firewire color security cameras and having great results. I just havent found a specific brand or model unfortunately. Im still on the hunt too for a superb low light firewire camera.

Hey Nick You got any idea how I would get a Flip Video Camera Working. I used your stream File and No luck. It just uses isight camera on my MBP.

I don't think you can use those Flip camera's as streaming web/DV-cams. If you're able to stream the incoming video to one of it's outputs (I think some have s-video/HDMI) to some sort of video to Firewire/USB convertor, then you may be able to use it in MixEmergency.

I tried using my flip as well and had no luck, i think its all due to the flip showing up as a storage device and not a camera

i love this feature... this would also be good to have appear in the overlay window to overlay on top of the videos playing with the same effects as as pics and txt etc....

yeah, the flip is just a flash drive with a camera, Im exploring a fw800 camera, but Id have to go the route of a expresscard to fw800 adapter. its crazy::::: usb1-57 usb2-dicers usb-nanoKontrol fw800-harddrive expresscardslot-fw800 adapter for camera. then perhaps a Ipad on bluetooth (but that would nix the KontrolUsb)

Just so you know, I've tryed this feature with a JVC GR-DV500E connected via Firewire 800 and it works flawlessly.

Quick question. I want to buy one of the logitech webcams. They are USB only. I would like to know if streaming video would be disrupted by plugging it into the same port as my Denon HC1000? I would do this with a USB hub. My MB only has 2 USB ports so 1 is taken by my 57 and the other by the Denon. Any help would be appreciated.
