Very nice! I tried using MixEmergency this past weekend and it crashed on me 3 times early in my set. I had to shut it off and continue without the program. Hopefully, this new version will not have these issues. Also, thank you for this very cool hidden feature! I'll test it out early in my set this weekend.

Can you send us through any new crash logs? If you experience any crashes with the new version, can you also send us the file ~/Movies/MixEmergency/MixEmergency.log

can i use this with any camera or just my mbp's isight?

It should work with any digital video camera attached to your computer. You can even stream two separate cameras at the same time.

hey nick, I love this feature but it seems to only work with the isight web cam on my mbp!?!?! i've tryed 2 different web cams and they crashed the program. then i bought a sony handycam (dcr-hc52) and tryed it with mixemergency and the dvinputstream plugin and i get 4 images?!?!? I open Imovie and it shows up perfect when i try to capture video! As you see in the first link, the top 2 images are still and the bottom are bad like the tracking is off. what can i do to get one image? I don't have a handycam, but I'll see if I can get my hands on one to track down the source of this bug. Hopefully I can get this sorted out for the next version of MixEmergency. Thanks for letting us know about this problem - and thanks for posting the images.

is there anything i'm doing wrong that i can fix on my end? i would like to have this working asap cause i have a huge gig at the 40 40 club in AC next weekend and it would really impress the owner if i can do crowd shots during hype songs and i don't wanna use vdj anymore....... thanks again

I'm not sure. I really need to find a Handycam to try. Perhaps I can send you a little test app to see if I can get it working. Check your e-mail soon-ish.

i got it. i replied back saying the test program worked but now when i try to use the plugin with my handycam, it crashes mixemergency. i sent you the crash report and the whackedtv summary. hopefully all this info helps. thanks again for trying to help me with this!

Just an update for everyone else: currently some DV comeras may not work with MixEmergency 1.0.2 - though the iSight camera should at least. The issue has been fixed and will be in the next release. You can contact me if you need this feature urgently.

Oh, I should also add that the fix for the DV input bugs in 1.0.2 is in 1.1 - so DV cams should work well now.
