djrudyg This happens at random, but the main output overlays (like Text Scrollers or Images like a DJ logo) disappear. I have to manually switch these out to either left output or right output (depending which side I am currently playing a video) to force it to appear on the main output screen. This can last for the remainder of the night or the text/logos suddenly reappear on the main output and not do it again the whole night. I play 5 - 7 hours during my residencies, so it is bothersome when this issue happens.
Nick I've heard of similar things occuring when macOS features such as Sidecar, or other virtual screens, are used. Are you using anything like this with your setup? Also, do you have any controls of the Text Overlay section mapped to MIDI?
Nick djrudyg Perhaps you can email me (to: support@inklen.com) your MixEmergency log file and I can see if I can see any obvioius issues? You can find the log file at the following path: ~/Movies/MixEmergency/MixEmergency.log (where ~ is your user/home folder)
djrudyg Nick Nick, how many log files does Mix Emergency keep? Does it only keep the last one of the last time it was used?
Nick djrudyg Generally there is only one log file. If you've used MixEmergency a lot on that computer then there is often a second file named "MixEmergency.old.log" - which is the last log file before it grew to over 2MB (I think). MixEmergency used to just delete them when when they grew that large, but this stopped me catching some bugs, so now it keeps the old one around until the new one grows to that size again.
Nick Oh, and the log files contain more than just the last session (assuming that that session didn't make the log file ridiculously large).
