Well, after having all these teething troubles with the ipad set up. I've decided to buy a A&H k2 midi controller. So when it arrives, ill be midi mapping away. I think it will be a good thing to mess about with having 3 layers, so i'm maybe thinking layer 1 for ME control. layer 2 for Serato controls, and layer 3 for whats not covered in layer 1 or 2. Has anybody else got this controller?

Well this looks like its going to be a good controller to use. Just need to work out a few things, like trying to keep led's lit etc. But i'm sure ill get there.

This worked well for me tonight, just need to start mapping some outputs for the leds, and ill be sorted.

Just having a mess about with the controller, is there a way of creating a 'latched' state so i can switch on an effect and it then turns on the LED? And just to clear it up, serato doesn't allow you to add an midi output?

Yeah - there is no MIDI output available from Scratch Live. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the latched state. What control exactly do you want to use to light your LED? You could use the wet/dry mix - if that's what you're after.

Hi Nick, yeah i thought that with SSL, just with having the Denon HC4500 and the HC1000 i know that has the lights lit when you set cue points etc. When i mean the latched state, i'm referring to the likes of Enable in ME for the effects. So if i enable the text feature in ME for example, i need the button i've got mapped to stay on. What i have noticed is that i've got to use the likes of midipipe to allow the LED' to light up anyway, but what i've also noticed is that when i press a button, it comes up (via midi monitor) as note on and note off message. So i will need a button to 'toggle' on off. I've sent a support ticket to A&H asking if this can be done but waiting to hear back. I know under NI's controller manager software it can be done. Just didnt know if ME has the capability under the mapping to enable an 'output' as toggle, gate, note on/off etc for controllers that don't have software to change settings like that.
