Mix Emgerency Text Bank / Border Fill Probelm

Dear Mix Emgerency, I Have 2 Probelms in Mix Emergency 2.0: 1st: I Cant Get The Border Fill Overlay To Work For Me, I click enable and nothing happens, the black letterbox looks the same on all the videos. please help correct this probelm for me, so can use the border fill on all my videos to fill in the black letterbox on the video? 2nd: I Cant find the new text bank to hold all my texts in Mix Emgerency 2.0? Please let me know how to enable the new text bank in 2.0, and how it works? also on the control deck (both right and left) it only says "link with audio" and will not let me (scroll down for any effects) and add any effects to each deck. I have a feeling there is some button i have or haven't checked in mix emgerency 2.0 or maybe in serato 2.3.1 also. that's causing my probelm for me I have a Macbook Pro And Serato 2.3.1 And Mix Emgerency 2.0 Thank You For Time, Await Your Replay Back.

That's 3 problems ;) 1) Check you video dimensions. Is the video 4:3 (e.g. 640x480). Sometimes videos that look to be 16:9 are actually encoded as 4:3 and have the "black bars" encoded into the video - which MixEmergency can't detect. 2) I assume you mean the Text presets (which was in MixEmergency pre-2.0). Go to the Presets window. Click on the tabs at the right-hand side until you find the one that reads Text in the title. 3) Another tab issue. You'll notice that to the right of that box that has those controls in it ("link to audio, etc"), that there are 2 tab buttons. Push the second one to open the effect tab for that channel.

Nick, Thanks For All Your Help, When I Clicked On The Tabs (The Effects, Text tab) came up thanks for that! I Have 2 other questions: 1st: I checked how encode the mp4s (i encode avi to mp4 in handbrake 720 x 480) let me know if i can use, border fill with these mp4s. Or if not is it best for me to use the effect letterbox fill? on my videos to fill the letterbox (black the videos)? 2nd: I Saw A Post About text outline, should be added to ME 2.0 (like white text with black outline) so the white text shows on the videos, let me know, if this was added to ME 2.0, and how i would go about doing it in ME 2.0? 1) Yes - you should be able to use the border fill on them. Open one up in QuickTime Player - is there a black border on the top/bottom? If so, then that particular video won't work well with the border fill overlay. 2) Yep - that'd be cool, though I'm not sure if I'll be able to implement it any time soon. In the meantime, the only thing I can think of would be to create that effect in another piece of software (e.g. Photoshop) and save it as an image to use in the Image Overlay section of MixEmergency.
