Does anyone know how to setup the midi in on touch osc with ME 2.0 so it reflects the control changes in the software?

Are you using the Touch OSC Bridge application? If so, just assign your MIDI control in MixEmergency, and then select "Add Output". It will automatically set up the output to reflect whatever control you already have mapped to the input.

Make sure the the Bridge application is set to one of the MIDI Outputs in MixEmergency (in Window -> MIDI -> Select MIDI Outputs drop-down menu).

I am also trying to get my touch osc on my ipad to reflect my settings from me. I've looked at what you put here and still cant figure it out. I'm running osculator but also downloaded touch osc bridge. Your first response saying to add output i cannot find so what is that reffering to. Please advise.

run osculator. run ME. in ME go to Window>Midi and Select Midi Outputs. Make sure Osculator is checked. Do the same for Midi Inputs. Now Osculator can send/receive midi to/from MixEmergency. The next step is add the iPad to Osculator. Run TouchOSC on your iPad and choose your Mac. It should automatically connect. In the layout move a control (fader, button or knob, etc) and you should see data in Osculator. For each control choose event type, value and channel. do this for all buttons in your layout. Next midi map in ME as you would if it was a hardware midi controller. if you want TouchOSC to reflect ME you'll need to make sure output is selected when you map an ME button. by default ME uses the same channel as the input. this is what you want.

What if you don't want to pay for Osculator? and want to use Touch osc bridge?

i have all my buttons on the ipad setup legit and had so before i posted this. All of my buttons are midi cc event types with values from 0- whatever the max is. They work great. What i am trying to accomplish is like when you use the logic layout with logic the ipad updates to reflect what settings are in logic. I want me to tell the ipad where all my sliders are and such. So in your last step you say I need to make sure output is selected i'm not sure what you mean. Do my buttons need to be different event types in osculator?

In ME when you map a control you'll see: in Learn New Control out Add Output map your ipad control as normal. Learn New Control will change to reflect the mapping. Then click 'Add Output'. ME will automatically map the same value as the input to the output. What this means is that ME will send the same midi info that comes in from the iPad when that ME control has a data change. This has the effect of updating the iPad.

For those wanting to use an Android tablet rather than an Ipad to touch midi control it is possible. The PROBLEM is that for some reason Android's won't allow you to connect to Adhoc networks which basically computer to computer wireless network. This would be the best way to connect if possible as weather, building or connection would not be a problem as long as your in about 150ft your network would work flawless. Even after hacking my Android so that it could see and connect to ADHOC networks it would not. The FIX I found a way to bluetooth but for some reason it kept losing connection, but the best way that I found was to pull out my NEW EVO LTE and make it a hot spot share my internet with the two devices (my Macbook pro and Toshiba Thrive Android). Really it's the best option of the two other than connecting to an adhoc network which I was unable to do. FYI this would work over wireless networks period without any issue between the driod and mac but there is not always internet everywhere I dj. Last thing you should note that touch os is free on the android market everything else you need is on the os website only draw back is you can't make custom layouts yet anyway. oh I do have an Ipad and Itouch would be much easier to use them but where's the fun in that. I am still working on connecting to adhoc via my android once I do I will post how.
