The thing is, we don't really want to be depending on a jailbreak or hack. Ideally, Nick will get Serato to give him the key to the "magic kingdom" that will allow ME to hook into SL 2.4+ and do its thing in a way that is stable, supportable and sustainable (won't require Nick to keep chasing code changes). The 61/62 scenario is a real headache. Many of us video DJ's who depend on ME are in the weird position of having to tell bar/club/venue owners NOT to run out and buy the 62 since it will severely impair video functionality. I personally couldn't use Video-SL (or Serato Video) in most venues I play in, due to installed video distribution systems and Serato's lack of video delay compensation. Between that and the far better video quality, and wayy more features, I need ME working a hell of a lot more than I need any new mixer features. It's a pretty bad place for Serato and Rane to be (knowing there's many other video DJ's who feel the same as I do), and I seriously hope it gets fixed very soon.
