Mapping Behringer DDM 4000

Hi, I have bought MixEmergency latest version. Everything works great but when I try to map the fader on the mixer the midi value changes from 0 to 27 and changer from red to green, but when I move the fader it doesn't moves on the software. Please help me!! how can I map this? The video tutorial in youtube is different from the latest version of the software. Greetings from Guatemala !!!

The Behringer DDM 4000 mixer isn't generally recommended for MixEmergency ( www.inklen.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=42&page=1 ) due to the inability to map both audio and MIDI to the crossfader at the same time (though I have read about people modding the mixer to do this). Have you set the crossfader to work in the MIDI (i.e. not audio) mode? If not, and you are still able to mix the audio with the crossfader, then it is likely that it is picking up a MIDI signal/event from one of the other controls on your mixer.

Hi, yes I know that isn't recommended because of this feature but I only use the crossfader to mix video. The mixer is set to work MIDI in the fader not in audio. I use the VideoSl plugin by serato with the mixer with no problem but I like more the Mix emergency software. When I quit Mix Emergency and open Serato VSL the mixer works moving the fader on the VSL. Thanks and hope you can help me.

Can you download and run this application? http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ If you run that and check that you're only recieving MIDI messages when you are moving the crossfader. I suspect that another MIDI control might be sending intermittant messages and interrupting the mapping (I have a MIDI controller that has had a bit of use that does this).

Hi Cairus, Try saving your user settings on your mixer. I just picked up another DDM4000 for my studio & ran into the same problem when trying to MIDI ME. After messing with it for a wile I saved my settings & suddenly it allowed me to map without a problem. Let me know if this works for you. Hey I have a Behringer vmx 1000usb mixer......I am having a hard to mapping it and getting ME to link with the crossfader of my mixer. I only get the audio to mix but i can still control the videos with my cdj's. I have a sly box. Is there any way to get this function to work tried mapping but I may be doing it wrong. which is the correct way to do this or correct setting to put it on to make this work!!! Help!!

Have you managed to successfully map the crossfader before? (i.e. has the MIDI mapping pop-up for the crossfader turned green?)

The MIDI mapping file that you sent me was empty (i.e. there were no mappings). I've just had a look online, and it doesn't look like this mixer actually supports MIDI - which means you won't be able to map it to control MixEmergency (or any other software). It looks as though it only acts as an audio interface via the USB connection - not a MIDI device.

i use the sampler also as the video fader, and that way i pay attention to the music and sound and then the video.. or sometime i do both at the same time..
