flickering ME window while using the fader

while doing a video mix the ME window flicker between the text window, the control panel, and the video outputs. While using the crossfader on my djm 700 Thanks for the help

one more thing i still have video sl is it necessary to uninstall it to make ME work properly?

You don't need to uninstall VSL to use ME - in fact it is useful to have installed, as you need it to add new videos into your Scratch Live library. I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you mean when you describe the first issue. My best guess (not really understanding what you mean) would be that you might have assigned the MIDI crossfader to the buttons that show/hide some of the windows. If possible, could you to create a video of it and upload it as a private video to vimeo/youtube?

Cool - that is a lot clearer. It looks as though my guess was right - you've managed to MIDI map not only the crossfader, but also some of the buttons that toggle the windows of MixEmergency. So, what you need to do is to unmap these buttons. Check out this page: http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/mainwindow/ ....under the Panel Controls heading there are a bunch of buttons that show/hide the window. From your video I also see that you've managed to MIDI map the Text Overlay Enable button also to your MIDI fader. If you can't be bothered unmapping the controls, then you can just do the following: 1) Close MixEmergency 2) Delete the file ~/Movies/MixEmergency/Control Mappings/_AUTOSAVE.xml 3) Restart MixEmergency (and re-map the MIDI controls that you want to keep, e.g. the crossfader)
