MediaAlbum1 + 2 doesn't clear previous string

Sorry for posting twice, put it in the wrong area by mistake. Hi, I'm making a quartz composition to work with SSL and want to use album titles but there seems to be a problem in ME. It looks like the string isn't cleared before the new string is added, leaving a mix of the two strings. Say I have album "xxxxxx" and album "yyyy". I load a track from album "xxxxxx" first, then I load a track from album "yyyy", the MediaAlbum parameter gives me the album string as "yyyyxx". I don't think it's my quartz composition, when I enter values directly into the composition's parameters, all seems to work ok.

No problem - I've removed the duplicate discussion that you created. Unfortunately this isn't a bug in MixEmergency, but one in Scratch Live. The best way around it is to use an earlier version of Scratch Live (e.g. 1.9.2). Another workaround (though may have some issues with certain titles) would be to perform some string testing in the Quartz Composition, and extract the changed portion of the string. If you can e-mail me your composition from the address that you registered MixEmergency with, then I will see if I can find some time to create an example for you.

Thanks, does Serato know about the bug? I'll could raise a help thread if not, or go and comment on an existing one. Ahem, haven't registered ME yet... Still running with the demo version, want to make sure I can get it all to work!

Yes, they're aware of it. I've got a Javascript QC Patch here that can attempt work around the string problem - it figures out which bits have changes, and works most of the time. The ideal thing to do would be to load a song with title/album/artist set to some really long string of characters that your next track is unlikely to end in though (e.g a string of many "~") to kinda "reset" the buffer so that it can correctly figure out how long the new string is (which would work 100% of the time, as long as no song title/album/artist that you load ends with "~").

Workaround - Ejecting the track clears the album string, next one is loaded just fine then. Might see if I can make a MIDI macro to do it.

BTW, cheers for the fix you sent me, I lost the email somehow so never replied, seems to work great in my test app, not so well in my actual app, I suspect something is else is going on there though.
