ME crashes 2 hrs after playing

good day ive been having this major problem for about a month now when im playing videos ME crashes or should i say my macbook pro just reboots after 2 hrs of playing exactly .. i dont know what problem is, can anyone give me some pointers? im running osx 10.6.8. 2.53 intel core I5 processor , 8 gigs of ram . i never had the problem before til ive updated the operating system to 10.6.8. It sounds more like a hardware issue than a software issue to me. The first thing I would do is to monitor the temparature of your computer - it may be overheating.

Ive read that there dj using Lion osx so i installed it on my laptop, installed ME, and Scratch live 2.3 and that is it, i loaded up some vidz and checked off autoplay and let it ride for a few hrs, and ME has stop working but the audio was still playing, the video was frozen on both sides. also when i load a video and not open up ME the wave files in Scratchlive run smoothly,but when i excute ME there goes the jerky wave files i dont know what up and this :( As far as monitoring the temp i'm gonna go buy one of those fan coolers at Bestbuy and see if this will cut out the over heating..............................

Well, those are all separate issues to the first one - can we try to keep this discussion just to the first issue that you raised? (regarding "jerky waves" in Scratch Live - make sure you've set up your output monitor correctly, and try to set the Refresh Rate (in the Displya panel System Preferences) for th external screen to something other than 60 Hz) Let me know how you get on with monitoring the temperature.
