New macbook pro for MixEmergency what needed?

Buying a new computer in the next few days here then buying MixEmergency. Looking at the new i5 and i7's. I was told that only the i7 15' has dedicated video and none of the new 13's have it. Is it really necessary or to have that 128 dedicated video? Here are the specs quickly: 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 4GB 1333MHz 750GB 5400-rpm1 Intel HD Graphics 3000 I would really prefer the 13' in this case. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

With the latest laptops it's not really necessary to have a dedicated graphics card (and in fact, the older generation MacBooks work well too). Just be aware that they aren't as powerful as those with dedicated graphics cards, so at some point in the future this may become restricting for you (e.g. if you start running multiple graphics programs, or want to output HD content with multiple effects, etc).

With enough efx running and 2 videos playing, well doing a transition, i would think the dedicated graphics card is worth its weight in gold. and for now you may say "well i dont wanna run , i just play the video" i would say why not future proof yourself and get the 15 and then you dont need to replace it next year when you realize you do want to run efx. :)
