looking for a quartz comp and other questions

Anybody got a quartz compo that will display the track and artist name in a box over the video. I dont mind some of the time showing people what track im playing. I used to use an effect in VDJ that displayed the Artist and Track name all the time. And i think i would like to have it again. Also where is everyone loading there quartz files from? Are people filling up the media bar with there fave quartz comp's? or do you just leave 1 running all the time? are people just loading the quartz files into overlay thing? and just one at a time? Also i saw somewhere (and now i can find it) a quartz file that let you put a bunch of quartz files into a folder and then it just cycled though them after a set amount of time. can someone link me to where i can find that if they know. Is there a way to tell before you load a track that you have one linked to it? Like VSL does with the grey film logo next to the file. And it appears quartz files can be linked in the same way. is this true?

yet another question. well this is a problem.... on some quartz compo's when i try to run a efx over them ME crashes. why is this? is it a proble with the quartz compo? or the effect itself?

Re: track/artist titles. This is possible when using Scratch Live 1.9.2, but unfortunately bugs in later versions mean that there are issues with the titles that get fed through to Quartz Compositions. Re: linking files. MixEmergency can use the current video links that VSL produces for Scratch Live. The way in which I currently recommend people use linked files is to use the linking feature in Scratch Live. You need VSL running to set these though, so any links must be prepared ahead of time. Re: crashes. That shouldn't be happening. Can you send me both the crash logs and any particular compositions that are causing this? You can find your crash logs in either: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ or ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ Any files that begin with "MixEmergency" in those folders would be of interest to me. Sad :( what kind of bugs are there? does someone just need to program a new quartz compo a little better or is it a underlying issue with SSL? Is there anyway to make the button in ME that says "link with Audio" become a midi button. I have a second person doing all the video mixing. and they drop the overlay videos in and once i overlay them i would like them to link them via a midi button.

Unfortunately it is an issue with Scratch Live - which we hope will be resolved soon. The issue affects: 1) The title, artist, etc output to Quartz Compositions 2) The auto-loading of album art feature of MixEmergency (which can be enabled through the preferences - though you can still drag and drop MP3 files onto MixEmergency to load their album art) 3) The "link with audio" feature (which is why, for now, I recommend using the Scratch Live video linking feature)
