codee I am a SL4 owner and currently play on 3 decks all the time. I wondering if there anyway ME could enable 4 decks in there program. I dont see VSL doing it anytime soon, and i think it would but ME so far out of VSL's reach no on would ever touch it again. :) Plus the fact i would have a ton of fun playing video from 3 or 4 decks well in the mix :)
DjNands Hi Nick I just tried out the mixemergency demo, and really love it very stable even using new serato 2.4.3 works great. Before i buy it,i got 2 questions: 1- i also got the sl4 and would like to know,if it´s already possible to have 4 deck in mixemergency at this time. 2- Are you making any improvement on recording,so hereafter we can also record the video input sorce(cam) or we have to use quicktime to do the job anyway??? Thanx
Nick VJing with 4 decks still isn't possible at this time. Regarding the camera recording - it has been left out because it puts a much heavier strain on your system when recording. The recording system that MixEmergency uses has been designed to be as light on your system as possible, as well as allowing very flexible export options.
DjNands Hi nick just regarding about recording input source again,we know it puts a much heavier strain on system when recording, but, you should consider an option to do the job if we have i7 quad core and 8gb ram or above and a graphic with 1gb dedeicated memory or above as well. i don´t think it would be a problem for a specific hardware, thanx
djevo1 I have not tried this, but in theory i believe if you had a rane 68 and 2 macs you could send 2 decks to one and 2 decks to the other, and then run mix emergency on both laptops. Then you could feed the output of one laptop into the other using a quartz composition and a blackmagic capture card. Then you would drop the composition in the QCEffects folder to create an overlay type of effect that you could put on the main deck. Alternatively you could use resolume to mix the feeds from both laptops
DjNands Djevo1,,thanx for helping, that´s what i do actually use for mix 4 decks,i have to plug the sl4 on 2 macs,i´m sure the next version will support 4 deck :). At this point,i´m talking about recording video input source
djevo1 Try using resolume, I believe you can record internally, or just use the ffgl plugin from syphon to record to syphon recorder
DjNands djevo1 and mastak07,thanx for reply,yesh i tried resolume and yes,it´s very good,even to do other stuff.thanx
