2 mixer faders controlling ME's x-fader

I've been having an issue with my MIDI mapping when using a DJM800 - happens only with the crossfader. What happens is that I assign the mixer crossfader to control the software crossfader but what seems to happen is that the ch3 low knob also controls ME's crossfader. Took me a while to figure out what was causing the video to acto funny mid-song and once i found out, it's seriously driving me insane. Can't quite change channels unfortunately because the other channels are constantly in use and don't want to keep fidgeting with the cables before each gig. I've tried clicking the trash bin and learning a new control but it does the same thing each time. Thought of deleting the .xml file but I take it that will delete all my other assignments?! Right? Hope you can help! Thanks

Does it also move MixEmergency's crossfader when Scratch Live isn't running? If not, then disable the "Use External Controller Crossfader" option in the Transition panel of MixEmergency's Preferences.

I am also having conflicting midi issues. On my APC 40 I set the Bank select buttons to scroll through my effect banks. But now the device control knob 4 scrolls through them as well. Also Device control knobs 2,4 are trying to load files from my media bank when those were assigned by the track selection buttons. Now also last night at the club I assigned my upfaders to my DJM-800 to work with the faders in ME and when I hit the first track selection button on my APC 40 it was shifting the upfaders all the way down. Is there a way to reasign what midi note a button or knob puts off so that I can go around this happening or how else do I resolve this problem?

It looks as though you've got some conflicting MIDI mappings.... I would check through all your mappings again (e.g. the control knobs 2 and 4 that are loading things from the media bank) and see if you can find any conflicts. I'm not certain about the DJM-800 and APC 40, but you may be able to change the channels on which these devices are broadcasting their MIDI messages, which would help to resolve and conflicts.

After doing some research I have found out that you can not change the control numbers for the apc 40. I am not sure about the DJM-800. I would use just the apc40 but I like to have the crossfader linked to the djm-800.
