dry Hi ! With my MBP mid 2010, 8GB Ram, i7 2,66Ghz, Mac OS X 10.6.8, ME 1.7.2 my output FPS reaches only something about 25 FPS. is this normal ? because i´ve readed some older posts and there i found some infos about getting up to 60 fps !!!
Nick That is very low. How is your output monitor set up? (e.g. dimensions, refresh rate) And are you playing HD videos?
Nick Cool. So, I would say that your output is set too large. Either, set your output to something closer to 640 x 480.... Or you could go into MixEmergency's Preferences (to the Display panel) and set the Quality slider to 50% (this will decrease the size that MixEmergency processes your videos from 1280x1024 to 640x512).
Nick Hmmm.... Can you try to set the refresh rate of your monitor to something other than 60 Hz and see if that has any effect? Also, 1.5 GB is quite high if you're just playing standard definition videos. Try setting it to around 400 MB. Are you getting any low memory warnings when you first start up MixEmergency and play videos?
Nick Can you please e-mail (contact at inklen dot com) me your MixEmergency log file? You can find it at: ~/Movies/MixEmergency/MixEmergency.log
