Dual Head 2 Go

Hi im new to the forums, so go easy on me. Has anybody used ME with the dual head systems? Was looking to use ME with serato as it seems to have more functions than VL. Was looking to have serato on MBP, and ME on another screen, then the 3rd screen as the video output. Anybody used this kind of setup?

I haven't used the DualHead2Go personally, but I've heard of (and seen) others that are using them. What you're wanting to do should work fine. The only thing that you will have to be careful about is not to go into full-screen mode in MixEmergency, as it will cover both the 2nd and 3rd screen (the DualHead2Go presents itself to Mac OS as one giant screen). You can easily resize the output window of MixEmergency to fit the 3rd screen as if it is in full-screen mode though.

Hi Nick, thanks for the reply. I only want to use that system as i only have the 13" MBP, and it gets a little cluttered. So was looking at a way to extend the screen but still have the output to a bars screen system.

I've bought the Matrox analogue dual head to go, and not the dp edition. I have bought a mini display port to vga adaptor to run the dual head to go or another monitor output. I will be having a look at seeing if it all works ok. I dont have a full licence for ME (just yet) as you can understand the video side of dj'ing is an expensive route to take. I want to make sure it works for what i need it to do before spending vast amounts of money. I do know of people using the dual head to go, and ME in which they feed the 2 x digital outputs into 'scan converters' which allows the digital signal to be changed to a composite signal, as they are using the pioneer av mixer. They also have the setup so they can have the left deck as a individual screen and the same with the right deck. This can be set in both ME and VSL. I just needed to go 'bigger' with the MBP screen been on the smaller side. The way im looking to do it, is to have ME setup on the MPB, serato on my 19" monitor, then the ME (or VSL) output on the 3rd screen. I still may have to get a scan converter to allow the signal from the Dual Head to Go (VGA) to composite to the bars system. I hope that make sense?????

Did you get this to work????? I want todo pretty close to the same thing. How did your friends get this to work with VSL sending out each deck to its own screen?
