ME 1.7 windows do not stay

I have found that when you have the windows broken up they won't stay where you left them. Is there a setting to get the windows to stay in a certain spot?

They should (and do on my, and our tester's machince) stay in place. Can you check the following folder and see if there are any crash reports being generated when you exit MixEmergency: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ (where ~ is your user folder) Can you e-mail me any files in there that are recent and begin with "MixEmergency"?

I checked the folder but there are no recent crash logs.

If you go into the Single Window layout mode, does it then keep the position/size of that window when you move or resize it?

yea, they stay on my mac too

When I'm in single mode it does seem to work but when I go back to break them up it does not stay.

Would it be possible for you to email me some screen shots of: 1) Where you are moving the windows to, and 2) Where they are by default when you start up ....just so I can see for myself what is going on (and maybe get some clues as to what the problem might be).

By the way, you can take a screen shot of your your entire screen by holding down command-shift-3. A new image will then appear on your Mac OS X Desktop.

I just dramatically moved them and it looks like it stayed. Initially, I was moving them less than an inch maybe that's why? I'll keep testing and let you know if I have any more issues.

Hmmm.... it shouldn't matter how far you move them.

It seems to me that the windows look to be offset just a little bit.... around the same distance as the menu bar. Can you try turning off the "auto-hide menu bar and dock" option in MixEmergency's preferences and see if you still have this problem?

Yes, turning off the auto-hide fixed my issue. It seems that each time you start ME it pushes the windows down to compensate for the hidden bar.

was experiencing the same probkems together with mediabank and the control section it doesnt stay where it yah put it the last time so everytime i open and close the ME i need to reposition it again..been busy thats why i havnt post this prob since the 1.7 came out i encounter this problem
