Well, it allows MixEmergency to send images from the output (and channel 1/2) to any other program that supports Syphon as an input. This is all done on the GPU - so it's super-fast and efficient. What the recieving program does is up to it.... some examples: You could send MixEmergency's output to the Syphon Recorder application to record your set in real-time. You could send MixEmergency's output into MadMapper ( http://www.madmapper.com/ ), or another projeciton mapping tool and project/map the video onto an object/surface. We already have one or two testers who have been sending MixEmergency's output into other VJ software, such as Resolume/Modul8 and using that to composite and apply real-time effects and overlays to the output. It really does open up MixEmergency to a lot of interesting possibilities.
