cleats I want to put my Logo into one of the video decks to keep the screen busy during a regular audio song. What format should it be to work in ME
Nick You could do this in a couple of ways: 1. Create a QuickTime Movie file out of the logo and load (or use the audio linking feature) that when you load regular audio. 2. Use MixEmergency's built-in Image Overlay function to add your logo (as long as it's a static image), and mix it in/out for regular audio. You can map a midi control to the opacity slider in the Image Overlay window so that you can mix it in/out easily. We're thinking of possibly adding a further option - but it's not quite finished yet, and it still needs a little bit of thought/work - but that won't be until 1.1.1 or 1.2 at the earliest.
Nick Oh, I forgot to mention: If you want to use the Image Overlay function, your image should be in any type that QuickTime supports. I would generally suggest using PNG for static logos, as you can easily add transparency to the image/overlay.
cleats I used the image overlay feature this weekend using the suggested PNG file format for my logo and it worked great. I MIDI mapped it to one of my channel faders with the opacity slider as suggested. Thanks for the info. I also made a short quicktime movie of my logo with a moving background and used it like a quarts comp and it also kept my screen busy during audio playback. ME is going to be the Video SL Killer. I got two of my DJ/VJ friends to switch over already.
Nick Cool :) You could also map a MIDI button to the Enable check-box of the Image Overlay function (if you just wanted to switch it in/out) - but I think the way you've done it with the slider will look better (as you'll be able to fade your logo in/out nice and smoothly). Let us know if have any further questions.
