what: Midi controlled/shortcut (toggle on, fader movement activated auto off) controls/parameters: same as effect (map to velocity/wet dry/speed) why? often times during a longer mix (dance music) we have both videos up for 30-60+ seconds. thus far what I find myself doing is manually bouncing the crossfader on my TTm57 back and forth (without going 100% to either channel ) or sometimes just popping the fader left and right to the beat (again... not 100% to cut off the music... just enough to push the visual aspect of the transition) how. Perhaps a toggle on button (much like the random transition command) that way when the mix is complete (the fader reaches 100% to the channel...ie, like when the random transition changes after a mix) the Toggle with be shut off and you will once again have absolute control of the audio+visual. Paramters. 2 knobs. 1. speed of left to right & back again (think of controlling the speed of a tennis match) 2. audio driven/velocity. much like the velocity control on effect, it will move the fader in 2/4/8/16/32 inctements back and forth based on the audio. I would have never though of something like this... but im doing more and more dance nights, and as easy as just moving the fader back and forth over and over, and over so the (lets say addictive, or luma key) transition isnt stale for that entire blend. I think it would be a good addition to the visual side of things for longer mixers. and be especially usefull for those random nights where u dont have a 57 or midi-mixer.
