We currently have users that are using MixEmergency with MacBooks, and we're thinking of lowering our minimum requirements. I personally haven't tried the new generation of MacBooks yet. I know that the last generation work well with MixEmergency - though you may find that the MacBook may not handle (i.e. you will notice a drop in the output frame rate of MixEmergency) the most processor intensive effects (like the Kaleidoscope effect, and the blur effects at their higher settings) as the MacBook Pro would. Almost all other effects should work fine though.
