I would like to know if the Behringer DDM4000 Mixer is compatebale with MixEmergency?

It is possible to use the Behringer DDM4000 to control MixEmergency, but it is not a recommended mixer because of the way the crossfader functions. The problem we have seen is that the mixer does not allow the crossfader to act as a MIDI control and an audio fader at the same time - you have to choose one or the other. This is a problem if you want to use the crossfader to mix both your audio and video at the same time. I imagine it would be possible to map one of the DDM4000's buttons (I'm not sure which buttons work as MIDI controllers though) to MixEmergency's autofade control - but I have not tried this, as I don't have access to one.

ok so from what i have read i should use a mixer like the DJM 800. and that should be my best bet? Thans going to let me do sound and video fader at the same time?

Yes, you can use the Pioneer DJM 800 to mix both the video and audio. With the DJM 800 you need to connect the mixer's MIDI output to your computer and then map the MIDI control in MixEmergency. You will also most likely need a small USB midi hub to connect your computer to the DJM 800. You could also use a mixer such as the Rane TTM 57SL - this mixer requires no MIDI setup, and MixEmergency will automatically map the crossfader. The TTM 57SL doesn't support MIDI however, so you can't just assign knobs/buttons to any of the functions in MixEmergency (i.e. autofade/load from media bank/etc).

When you say autofade you mean fade video and audio. is that what you where trying tell me about tthe ddm4000 as well?

No, the autofade I'm referring to is the MixEmergency autofade button - which fades video only. MixEmergency doesn't handle any audio processing.

All along i thought the TTM57 was not an option. Will mix emergency work on the TTM57 without the SL1 box ? Or is the SL1 box needed ? Just wondering because i am about to buy another mixer and was looking at both the pioneer djm 800 and the TTM57. My main goal is to continue using ME for videos with serato. If i can run ME with the TTM57 without purchasing another SL1 box, that would break me up into 2 systems with ME which for me is great. If i had to buy the 57 and another SL1 box then it would simply not be budget friendly. Thanks, Alex.

MixEmergency is a plug-in application for Scratch Live - this means that any hardware that Scratch Live supports for audio output (i.e. SL 1 and the TTM 57SL) will work with MixEmergency. The TTM 57SL is a special case though, as MixEmergency also reads the fader positions (crossfader, cuefader and upfaders) for use with MixEmergency's faders. If you have a TTM 57SL then you do not need a SL 1 connected. But, as I wrote before, currently you cannot assign any of the TTM 57SL's other controls (i.e. EQ/buttons) to any of the other functions in MixEmergency - which is something that you could do with a MIDI enabled mixer. You can still use a separate MIDI controller to control MixEmergency's effects/transitions/etc though.

ok im getting confused now, all i want to know is if i go out and buy the djm-800. can i crosfade adio and video at the same time using that crosfader with this mixer? like if i had the TTM 57SL mixer? using the midi controler My set up is scrach live with ME, DJM-800 and a macbook. with the newest updated leoperd Im not going to be playing videos all night i just want the option to do so if i need to.

Yes, you can crossfade the audio and video with the DJM 800.

Sorry for jumping in and screwing it all up, I did not know that the 57 was an option and got all excited over it. I think I'll still head towards the 800.

I think that the Ecler Nuo 5 may work as well.

Yeah, I think it should. I don't know of anyone who has tried the NUO 5 but I've been told that the Ecler EVO 5 works with MixEmergency.

Im just looking to buy a mixer that has 4 or 5 that i can crossfade video and sound at the same time with midi. I only have 3 days to see if i can find it at a store or online for a good price. $500 to $800.00 range? like the ECLER NUO 5.. i like the mixer but i need to know i dont have time to take a chance of buying one and then not work for me with ME. Thanks for the help.

Oh one more thing iit has to be a 10'' not a 12''.
