No audio???

I'm having issues recording audio for my MixEmergency recordings. I'm using MacBook Pro and TTM-57 mixer. I'm going Aux Out into the line-in port on my Mac, but I don't see any indication that audio is being fed from my mixer. The volume for AuxOut is up and I know it works since I use the same port for my Numark BlueDog speakers when I'm not trying to record my audio. This is most likely not a MixEmergency problem, but has anyone had the same issue?

First thing to check (and most common mistake): are you sure you're going into the line-in port on your Mac? Often people accidentally plug-in into the headphone-out port. Second: I would go into the "Sound" panel of your Mac OS System Preferences, then into the "Input" tab, and check that "Line In" is selected as your input device. Also make sure that the "Input volume" control is set correctly (i.e. not all the way to the left/minimum side).

Done and done....I triple checked. Still no audio input when I prepare to record a video mix.

Furthermore, I've changed the cable three times. And the cable can be used in reverse (Headphone Jack to Aux In)

Are you seeing any input on the level meter in the Mac OS sound preferences panel?

Can you try plugging something else into the input port and see if you can get that to register on the level meter?

I just tried my cell phone using a 1/8th jack....nothing on the level meter.

I'm convinced this is a hardware issue...I went out and bought a Griffin USB iMic and got a level meter. Thx.

Are you on one of the MacBook Pros that only have a single (combinded) audio port?
