Hi Nick my Setup: MacBook Pro with the M4 (base) chip (14-inch). I am currently running MixEmergency 3.7.2 on macOS 16.
While the stability is great as usual, I am experiencing significant thermal issues during my gigs. When running Serato DJ Pro along with MixEmergency (video mixing) and using Serato Stems, the CPU/GPU temperature frequently hits 90°C and above. In warmer club environments, this has unfortunately led to system instability and occasional freezes.
I have already optimized my setup (manual fan control, locking display to 60Hz, reducing preview quality, and avoiding live Stem analysis), but the thermal load remains very high, likely due to the software running through Rosetta 2.
I read you are working on version 4.0 with native Apple Silicon / Metal support. Is there currently a public or private Beta/Alpha version available that I could test? I am hoping that a native version would help reduce the thermal strain on the M4 chip.
Any help or a link to a test build would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Daniel
