video and audio lagging and distortion

Im using a Macbookpro 2013 with mac osx catalina 10.15.7 and every time I load up ME with serato dj pro i get distortion from the audio while the video is playing and lagging from the videio

I could be wrong, but this sounds more like a computer spec vs Serato DJ issue.

The only supported macOS versions for Serato DJ as of now are: 15 Sequoia, 14 Sonoma, 13 Ventura

What versions of MixEmergency and Serato DJ Pro are you using? It would be helpful to know a bit more about the MacBook Pro, too. If it has an older, integrated, graphics processor then it may be struggling if you're playing multiple HD videos. Also, I would make sure that no other apps are running (i.e. taking up resources from the CPU or RAM).

Are you loading videos from the internal drive or an external one?

It might be useful to know a bit more information about that videos that you're playing, e.g. are they all 1080P? It may also be helpful for you to email me (support@inklen.com) your MixEmergency log file. You can find it at the following path:

~/Movies/MixEmergency/MixEmergency.log

(where ~ is your user/home folder)

It definitely sounds like a computer issue. The last version of Serato DJ Pro that supported Catalina was 2.6.2.

It would be an idea to download that version and see if ME works flawlessly.

This version works okay on my backup computer which is a similar spec to yours.
