djjamesfalk Recently upgraded to the latest version. Gigging at the moment with OS Catalina 10.15.7 on a mid 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15 inch. Have a second laptop but can't make the change ind gig so stuck with this. Thought I'd at least advise to see if any others having a similar issue with the latest build.
djjamesfalk Hopefully this is resolved simply after a reboot. I've already shut down Mix Emergency mid set muliplr times with no improvement. This is the first time in a few weeks I've been mixing front house in front of 32 tv. Hopefully this hasn't been an issue I've missed by being out of sight of tv's at another location.
djjamesfalk Spent this entire gig mixing into the 2nd unit & then cuing the identical track in tray 1 and catching up & crossing over. Kinda killing my vibe wasting time with this work around, but at least it looks better.
Nick Do you have the Mixer FX enabled? Perhaps you can open the Mixer FX window (in the menubar, select Window then Mixer FX) and disable all of the pink/yellow buttons.
djjamesfalk I'll give that a try. I didn't have an opportunity all week to check messages here (I actually thought I'd have gotten an email letting me know of board activity) and I'm already back gigging. Been using Serato Video until I solve the issue. Came out of nowhere & applies to both of my machines. Weird that the same mistake activating mixer FX would have happened on both machines, particularly since I never use my back up to gig with & the problem is o then one as well when I tried using the backup tonight as a fix.
djjamesfalk So I've followed your direction & indeed found that every pink & yellow button that could possibly have been on was in fact on. Since I've never once opened that window on one, let alone both my computers, was this perhaps a forced change after the most recent update? The issue appeared out of nowhere & I gig full time 30-60 hours every week. Checking my updates it appears I installed the most recent build (3.6.0) on April 5th, so I doubt I was this oblivious to the issue for 3 weeks & 14 separate gigs (although cover half of them were patio events with audio only). Spinning tonight. I'll let you know if the issue is resolved later tonight.
Nick This feature has been present, and enabled, since MixEmergency 2.6 (so, many years ago). Perhaps you were using a different mixer or controller that you were using? Some have their EQs mapped automatically, via Serato DJ, to this feature.
djjamesfalk No new controller or mixer have been used & its certainly strange both laptops were affected as my back up is rarely used in live environments. Regardless all is good now with no reappearance at tonight. Thanks for the support, much appreciated!!
djjamesfalk No new controller or mixer have been used & its certainly strange both laptops were affected as my back up is rarely used in live environments. The only reason I even used it was due to the issue with the other. Are there any accidental key strokes that perhaps affected it? I would also assume that no Serato Update would affect ME whatsoever. The only thing I didn't bother mentioning was I was playing a .mov file when this all began which is something I rarely ever do. I created a video mix for the old Madonna Medley from Ultimix 41 (turned out great by the way) as a present for my girlfriend a few years back. I was being lazy & looking for a long medley so used it that night & immediately noticed the issue I described. Initially it only affected the second video window, but eventually leaped over to the other deck. Once I switched machines it was also present on both. For the last few weeks I've been using Serato Video for the first time in a few years. Regardless all is good now with no reappearance at tonights gig. Thanks for the support & I'm impressed you got it figured out for me remotely. Much appreciated. Have a great weekend!
Nick That's strange that you're only seeing this now, for some reason. Hopefully it won't occur again, now that Mixer FX has been disabled.
