henrygq so i made this logo.. its transparent with white lines. i tried a couple different options. one is a .jpg and another is a .png both of them show the lines being blochy. not very smooth. is there a certain formatt that it will show the lines to be more smooth? look at this pic. see how its not a clean line. this is a .png http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l207/henrygq/?action=view&current=IMG00106-20110109-2354.jpg
Nick PNG would probably be the best option. Can you e-mail me the PNG file of your logo for me to have a look at?
Nick The problem is that scaling that the graphics card uses doesn't look so great when you are scaling large images down this much. The solution is to resize the image in other software, such as Photoshop, first and then load it into MixEmergency.
henrygq i tried it. looks better but not exactly perfect. but very usable now. i wanna have a quartz made where the "G" and the "Q" spin like records LOL
henrygq thnx for helping out tho. if u have any other suggestions for making it more clear. i would appreciate it! thnx again for ur help! shots!
Nick You could try resizing it to a different size - the one I sent you might not be optimal for whatever resolution you have your external monitor set to.
Nick Depends - what is your monitor resolution? If it's 800 x 600, and your logo is only taking up 20% of the height/width, then you can probably set it to 160 x 120....
djClint hi nick not to hijack this thread..just want to ask if its there any way for the next release we can use 2 images in the overlay section?
djres-q Just to make sure, I understand the post above. At the moment, I cannot add at the same time: -my logo (in bottom right corner for instance) -Another logo in the top right corner. ?
Nick Correct. MixEmergency only supports one over image and effect. Though there are ways around this if you want more. For example, if the logo isn't going to be rotating then you could create a larger image that had your logo at the bottom and another logo at the top. My recommendation would be to create a 640x480 (if you're using 4:3 output) or 640x360 (if the output is 16:9) image and positioning any logos within this image. Maybe I should create an example video/tutorial or something like that to show what is possible. If you're familiar with Quartz Composer then you could also create a Quartz Composition that had as many logos in it as you wanted. Just last week I helped someone create a Quartz Composition overlay that displays an animated logo in the bottom right corner which seemed to work quite well.
