linking video to audio

what is the proper way or " work flow " to see to it that ME remembers to save the videos that Ive placed with the music track that Ive selected. It doesn't seem as though it works all the time.

There appears to be an issue with the video linking and later versions of Scratch Live. As a work-around for now, if you have the Video-SL demo installed, then you can use it to create video associations that will still work with MixEmergency.

I am running the most current version of serato and I've tried following your advice. Im getting the: "Warning: Serato Video-SL is running. Serato Video-SL is not required to be run while using MixEmergency. Running both applications can cause poor performance of MixEmergency and put additional strain on your computer. Please disable Video-SL in the Scratch Live setup screen and close the Video-SL application." Also I'm not getting the video to double with the audio tracks. It's as though it can't make the video associations. Secondly, will it make a difference if I drag the videos from Finder in Serato vs OSX Finder? Does it matter the location of the files? Can you explain how video associations work so that I might be able to use them. What else can I do as I only have the most current version of Serato.....?

I can load the 1st audio deck in serato and get the video associations to work, but its when I try to update the serato deck with a new audio file the video deck in ME keeps playing previously video. no update takes place Is there something Im missing.

The issue that you're seeing (that it only works the first time) is also the issue that I'm able to reproduce. As I said in the post above, the workaround - for those using the latest versions of Scratch Live - is to create the video associations using Video-SL (I believe there is a "Set Video" button, or something with similar wording, that will pop up when VSL is activated). I would recommend that you re-start Scratch Live once you've made all your associations though, as you don't want to be running VSL and MixEmergency at the same time during your performances.
