Video recording issues - Only Channel 1 audio recording

Hi @nick , I've got an issue with recording. Only the Left Channel's audio is recording. Visuals from both sides come up and when i check the recording levels meter prior to starting the mix i see the meter moving when i swap sides. I've done two mixes and same results. I have changed the channels from 1 and 2 to 1 and 3. I've even cycled through all the channels for the Right side just to be sure. Gear - Rane 62, MBP 2015 running Yosemite, Serato DJ 1.7.8 What can i do? Thanks

Further troubleshooting I have only one speaker connected to my Rane 62 and I noticed that the level meter on the right channel was moving despite no sound so I switched my XLR to the right output on mixer and sound came. This is not normal behavior as I've always connected one speaker at home and set Serato to mono. The mix played well through one speaker why is the recording splitting like a multi track recording. I'm at wits end right now. I have Serato Video and I did a recording on the same set up and it recorded just fine.

Further testing. I tried my pioneer ddj sx and it recorded normally on that. Any reason why am I having issues recording with the Rane 62? The firmware is 2.53.

Okay. Think I found the solution. Rane 62 should be on Channel 11 & 12. FML wasted two hours recording a mix yesterday. Sigh.

Yeah, that's the solution: on the Rane 62 you need to use the mix return channels 11 & 12.

Should it not by default switch to the right recording channels when specific hardware is connected? Or do I have to manually check prior to recording? A sticky post on the forum will be handy to address little issues like this or do a manual for each supported hardware Serato style.

I noticed when recording the mix that when I instant double a track the video frame gets stuck until I transition I also noticed a few frames hanging when looping. Say I'm playing Deck 2 and I instant double to Deck 1, moving the fader across to Deck 1 and the video is hanging on deck 1 for a few beats. It wasn't exactly noticeable when mixing but when I played back the recording it was very bad. I'm using videos from xtendamix, smash vision.

Yeah, there is some work going on to try to get all the default channels, but unfortunately these aren't always correct (e.g. on the Pioneer mixers you have to set these up in the Pioneer setup utility, and can choose from a number of channels). Well it can be a dynamic sticky post Subject to change. It can include standard channels ,tested and confirmed to be working plus alternatives if there are.
