Mykey Most of my music videos are 30fps. I made my own video edit @ 720p 60fps and Serato Dj 1.8 plays the audio just fine. But the video playback is stuck on the beginning frame of the video and wont play. Is there settings I need to adjust in ME to make this work? I'm using a MBP 16GB RAM, i7, 2GB video. So I know it is not a resource issue. Thanks in advance Nick!
Nick It should at least play some of the other frames, but there is a bug regarding videos with high frame rates (which is fixed in the upcoming version). In the meantime, I would recommend that you export this particular video at 30 FPS.
dj_marv Had similar issues when I encoded some videos. I'm glad that you have made this official now that FPS should be 30 max. Is there a rule on how to reencode videos that have rates greater than 30? I have seen various videos in different frame rates from 20 to 30. I don't mean changing frame rates in one video. I do my edits in FCPX and I've heard people say leave the source frame rate as it is,but I know from experience the video might not work with ME if I have any frame rate greater than 30. Switching off GPU acceleration was a work around but I don't know what I'm missing if I switch it off. Can you kindly shed more light on this. Happy new year!
Nick For now, 30 is probably the max that you should use. Generally you want to leave the frame rate at the same as the source. In the meantime though, if you have videos at 50 or 60 FPS, then just half the frame rate to 25 (for 50) or 30 (for 60) FPS.
