MIDI Fader Issues

I'm having an issue (Rane 62, MBP 2.4 Ghz i7 with 16GB Ram, Serato DJ MixEmergency), the crossfader stops in the center, and on occasion I have to bring the fader back to the center point to get it to complete the transition. It also seems to do it on the upfaders as well. Both faders are controlled (up & down) on PGM 2. However PGM 1 works independently. I'm not "super" midi savvy... so I didn't want to keep tampering with re-assigning or have it re-learning. I was able to map a MPD 24 to function with just Serato Video in the past and I never encountered any issues but I am clearly stomped here.... Thanks

Can you delete all of your MIDI mappings and see if the crossfader works correctly when Serato DJ is running? You shouldn't have to do any MIDI mapping for the crossfader of the 62 to work with MixEmergency.

Initially in earlier verions of ME and SDJ it was fine no mapping was required. Then after about (maybe later variations) of 1.7 to 1.8 it started acting a bit sticky (stopping in the middle etc..). So I thought maybe I "un-mapped" something. I did a reset on the Rane 62 to factory and deleted any previous mapping. The upfaders are fine but the crossfader is still stopping in the middle. Thanks

Can you open Serato Video at the same time and check 1) that the contouring is disabled for the crossfader, 2) that there is nothing MIDI mapped to the Serato Video crossfader, and 3) that it is working fine there at the same time that it is not working in MixEmergency.

*Opened both SV and ME * Attempted to access the contour in Set Up/ Mixer/ in Serato but it is inaccessible and only controlled by the contour knob on the front of the mixer (unless I'm missing something). Regardless of the knob positioning (Completely Left (Slow) Completely Right (Fast) or Centered). I'm still experiencing the same issue *All faders in SV (when linked) work excellent. I will try dumping MixEmergency, and re-installing **shrugs** <baffled> Thanks</baffled>

*Checked the Expansions/Video/Control no contouring options are checked... *I also tried re-installing mixemergency.

I think it's resolved!! The midi page in MixEmergency (although I went in to check that nothing was checked) I think there was "glitch in the matrix"!! I have unchecked Rane 62 TWICE... Something keeps causing it to assign it self (Rane 62) (Could be the DDJSP1) reading the mixer and assigning it... I just have to make certain it's UNCHECKED before sets... Thank you for your patience and assistance! Gonna run with it for a few hours and see what happens! Thanks Again!

Are you saying that you have to make sure that the Rane 62 is unchecked every time you start MixEmergency? (the setting isn't saving correctly)

I'm not sure. I didn't have the problem prior to upgrading to 1.8.1 (SDJ). Shortly after that I set up an Akai MPD (to scroll through effects and trigger them). After that the fader issue began. I never unhooked the DDJ-SP1 so I unhooked everything that had MIDI, (except the 62) went through all the settings and noticed the 62 was checked AGAIN. So I'm not sure why it's re-checking it (the 62), but the fader issue is fine with the 62 alone. I will try hooking up the other devices one by one and separately to see which one is causing it. It sounds like it might be a MIDI conflict. I'm not sure why it's not saving the face that you've deselected the Rane 62. It may be that MixEmergency isn't shutting down correctly.

OK... everything has been good today.. (first time using ME in a couple of weeks) NOW the upfader on pgm 2 is controlling both pgm 1 & 2????
