Mid 2009 Macbook pro and ME 3.0 stutter

Hey there, I just purchased ME and have been working on using it with Serato DJ (latest update) and Pioneer DDJ SX2. I have figured out how to get the main screen to fit on my 60" Television at home, although it is not full screen. I have to use it in 16:9. That is not the biggest issue I am having at the moment, the bigger issue is that I am getting a stutter on both my computer screen and main television screen. Both the serato waveforms and ME video screens start to stutter and lag when they are both running together. When I only have text overlay/image overlay running on the screen they are smooth, that is while both programs are open, but as soon as I load up a video and press play, the problem begins. Here are my Macbook Pro specs: 15-inch, Mid 2009 OSX Version 10.8.5 Processor 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: MBP53.00AC.B03 SMC Version (system): 1.49f2 I'm not sure if this information will suffice, but I need help. I have DJ'd for many years and one of my residencies has decided to utilize the 3 Televisions on the dance floor to run video and I am super stoked. I've made progress in learning your program, which is absolutely awesome, but I am having these particular issues. I start up in 4 days and would love to run as flawless as possible. Thank you much

Have a look at the specs I'm not sure your video card or Mac is in the spec range I have just looked here http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/minimumreq/ You might be ok if you can still run an older version Cheers Matt

Thank you Matt. I am well above the spec range, I just checked to make sure. One thing that I did do was to disable the "GPU-accelerated video decoding". I feel a lot better with the current flow. However, the scrolling text seems to still stutter and lag a bit. Definitely not as bad as before.

Ok I looked at the spec and I'm seeing it says for ME 3 that's it's a 2010 Mac or later that's all Have you tried an older version of ME ?

No, I have not tried an older version. Should I? What would I lose by going to an older version?

Well not that much I think version 3 is just a lower gpu usage can't remember all the ins and out so don't quote me on that also if you have bought ME 3 I'm not 100% you can go back before it because it a new serial code . But I'm still using version 2.7 I think it is I'm not sure what the spec requirements are for 2.7 are

Specs Real world i retired my Mmid 2009 MBP 2.8 ghz with 512 mb Nvidia 9600m and a 2nd card idk which one these are way too old for todays VDJ use. i replaced it a 2011 with 1 gig video card and it's a beast non retina.

Thanks alot guys. It seems that I will have to purchase a new MBP. This will take some time of course. I wonder if the new MBP's are running fine with serato and ME3. Any input? It might be hard to find an older one. Not too keen on buying used either.
