midi mapping issue?

I spent about 2 and a half hours mapping midi interface in mix emergency this morning I got hit a snag in the text overlay area... it seems that ENABLE and MIX are linked somehow. with image overlay, i was able to map a button to toggle enable and a slider to adjust the mix, but when trying to map under the text section, when I cleared and reset the input for mix, it updates the input for enable, and visa versa. is this normal? how come it behaves one way under image and a different under text when they both seem to have the same adjustable parameters. thanks!!! LOVING THIS PROGRAM btw

Ah yes, that is a bug in 1.5 that was reported recently (and has been fixed for 1.6). I can't say when 1.6 will be out though. I think there was a work-around for this, but it involves editing your MIDI xml file by hand. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll find the instructions and put them in this thread. Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

i would love to address this either way, i am trying to construct an iPad layout that everyone would be able to enjoy... and having that feature accessible out the gate would be less updating on my end when it gets fixed on yours. thanks!

From this discusson: http://www.inklen.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=186&page=1 ....if you really want to MIDI map that control you can still assign your MIDI control via the XML files that MixEmergency uses to load/save MIDI settings, as the bug is only in the code that communicates between the control and the MIDI mapping window. You can add it to the _AUTOSAVE.xml file I pointed out above. All you need to do is figure out the control number that you want to assign and add: <control channel="0" control="1" controltype="Range" key="TextOverlayOpacity" reverse="false"></control>to the XML file - where you replace the 1 in control="1" with the number of the MIDI control change message you want to use. It needs to be added between the <midi> and </midi> XML code. You can open the XML files in any text editor. Let me know if you need further help/instructions. By the way, the MIDI XML files are located in the folder ~/Movies/MixEmergency/Control Mappings/

Oh, and you need to close MixEmergency before you make this change.
