Hi Nick! Has ME been tested on the DJM S9 yet? I'm very keen to get one and incorporate into my show. As a Rane 62 user, who started on the 57, I'm particularly excited about getting the little "cue fader" back. Will that cue fader be linked to the cue fader in mix emergency like in the 57, <3 as always Tom

I haven't tested it personally, but it should work fine. With regards to the cue fader, it would need to be MIDI-mapped to the MixEmergency fader, I believe.

@ Nick Being it's an officially supported Serato DJ mixer, wouldn't it work just like any of the other supported mixers?

Yes, but as far as I'm aware, the cue-fader feature is only available on the TTM 57SL, and only with Scratch Live.

been testing 1.8 on the S9 with ME 3.0.2 for two weeks I noticed for some reason when moving the left upfader it sends a midi command to change the transition to swinging doors (its always swinging doors) strange

it send midi from the up-faders, so you probably have that 'swinging doors' transition somewhere in your presets. It was loading an effect for me, I replaced it with an empty slot and it was fixed. also, how much of a mess is the S8 midi mapping? I've never missed Rane so much....

tom you are correct, I actually figured that out at tonights gig.. i re-mapped my preset as well to fix the issue, but strange how even after changing the preset and re-mapping the upfader it still sends a cross signal.. So i have now just cleared that preset channel 10 to empty.. i will do some work and research on it over the holiday and see what i can figure out.. but i don't miss my 62( even tho from the start it had zero issues), I still like the extra features, feel and layout of the s9 as well as the total sound output better for sure

after further investigating I found that for some reason the left upfader was sending some type of midi signal to Channel 1 controller 19.. after doing some re-mapping all is good with the S9 and ME

I have an s9 and for some reason I'm not getting video output from the left deck? Any ideas?

You need to go into the Pioneer Setup Utility and set one of the channels to be the "REC (MIX)" channel. Next, you'll need to select these channels on the Recording window in MixEmergency (by default, they're set to 1 & 2, which is likely the left and right channel of the first channel on the mixer).

okay but i'm only seeing mix rec out in the set utility only at usb 5/6 if if select usb 1/2 or 3/4 i'm not seeing the mix/rec out under those drop downs?

That's fine - select 5/6. Then in MixEmergency, select channels 5 & 6 as the ones to record from.
