when Mixemergency launched I lose my desktop on Macbook Pro

Screen just goes black except for Mixemergency controls and top menu bar. All other desktop icons and images disappear. Any idea how to remedy this? Also, on reboot of system the desktop icon for Mixemergency disappears. Thanks, DJ Alek

Hey djalek, it would probably help Nick give you a fsater response if you provided some more detail about your system specs and which version of Mix Emergency you're using.

I've had something similar happen on mine as well in Yosemite, sometimes if I have ME running and unplug the HDMI feed while full screen is still active the video card freaks out. I have to to plug monitor back in and the extended desktop finally comes back up w/ the full screen output. Then I stop ME, and unplug the HDMI and all returns to normal. I'm still running 2.7.1, never had it happen in earlier OS X so I figure it's a 10.10.x quirk.

Actually, djalek, I wonder if it's just the output window which is taking up your screen? Click on the black background and drag it up and to the right. If you do this, do you eventually start to see your desktop again? You can resize this black output window by clicking and dragging the bottom right corner of the window.
