MIDI Mapping

I'm trying to map my X1 to Trigger FX Banks etc in ME 1. Is there a particular midi signal that ME prefers eg Tone vs CC 2. I mapped the Effect Banks (Scroll 1 - 6) to an endless encoder knob and having issues with it. On the forward motion it moves in single steps 1-2-3-4-5-6 but on the reverse direction it moves 6-5-4-2 (skipping one or two steps). I'm using CC with [increment/decrease] option and the invert box checked 3. When i load an FX Preset is there another way to unload it without having to select "None" or Turn down the "wet/dry" knob eg I just want an FX to be active for a few bars as against constantly. Should i be using the FX sequencer for this purpose? 4. Can i copy FX from the bank to the FX Sequencer?

In the Midi Panel whats the button before the X for, the one thats looks like a circle with 2 arrows? Whats 14bit for?

1) Either is fine. 2) I'm not sure which CC mode you will want this set to. Likely one of the Relative settings (Two's Complement, Binary Offset, or MSB). I'm not sure of the exact names of these, as I'm out of the office at the moment. 3) The best way to do this is with a preset set to Empty/None. 4) No, this isn't possible at the moment. The button before the X is for re-learning the MIDI control/note. 14-bit is for 14-bit MIDI controls (which are sent using 2 MIDI messages instead of a single one).

3] Figured this. I have one slot mapped to empty on each page 4] You (or someone else) should release FX Sequences (One Shots etc), I will pay for decent "presets package" if available. All the ones i tried doing are a bit mehhh 2] I will mess with this a bit more. For now just clicking with my mouse when i need to trigger FX/Sequences

Hi Nick, Is there a way to clear all midi mappings in ME? Its driving me demented right now. I mapped a NI Kontrol X1(MK1) to trigger a few things, however last night whilst playing with my Pioneer DDJSX without the X1 connected I'm getting "EFFECTS" Triggered. I specifically couldn't identify the specific button/knob/fader on my SX that was triggering it. It could be on the first layer or even shift layer...i'm not ready to spend the whole day troubleshooting I want a way to clear all user mappings and just return it to default unmapped settings.

Yes, you can do this. In the menu bar at the top of your screen, select "Window", then "MIDI". Next, push the "Reset" button. That's all you need to do.

Hi can i play a chord on the midi keyboard and let nano pad learn to a pad ?need some help,i did that in korg m3 pads....

@nick is there a way I use Mix emergency midi to send midi timing information to Mydmx 2.0 where i could sync up light to bmp of songs playing. I noticed in the control panel you have a section that shows 4 grids that move to music
