Pioneer DDJ SZ

Hi, Saturday i tried to make VJ with a DDJ SZ but couldn't get video to show. No where left or right output or main.... Can someone help me and explain me how to get it to work ?

What do you usually use? And do you normally use Serato DJ, or Scratch Live?

Hi Nick, It was my first try of DDJ SZ. Usually i'm using a Vestax PMC05 PRO IV or a Rane Sixty One. I use the latest version of SSL the most as when i record my mixs i have better performance using SSL than SDJ. I'm using ME latest version for information. I would like a kind of tutorial to use the DDJ SZ cause i don't know if the video can be mapped automatically to the good deck. I mean if for example the software SDJ allocated deck 1 for the left one and deck 3 for the right one, i don't know if ME can understand that etc.......I didn't have try to troubleshoot in the club where there was the SZ so i had to cancel my set of video mix and do only Audio..........

If you're switching between Scratch Live and Serato DJ, sometimes it can be necessary to give your computer a restart (which I recommend before every gig anyway). The deck mapping is limited to whatever Serato DJ can assign as the "Primary Decks".

I had just started my computer and opened only SDJ. Where do we adjust the primary decks on SDJ ? On the DDJ SZ if i'm right you can tell left deck that number 1 or 2 is primary and on the right deck you can choose wether 3 or 4. Is that the primary stuff that you mean ?

I'm not certain of the exact assignments for the DDJ SZ. You can find the Primay Deck settings on the Setup screen in Serato DJ.

There nothing about "primary" that's what i don't understand. On the deck you can choose the deck number you want. For the left one you can choose either 1 or 3 and for the right one 2 or 4. Is someone who is using DDJ SZ is able to help us please ?

I use a ddj sz pretty much every week with Serato dj and ME no problems , I use deck 1 and 2 the middle channels , I'm pretty sure you have to have Serato do set to channels 1 lefts channel 2 right, if you use 3 and 4 the outside channels it doesn't eirk work

What's good I don't know what's going right now I notice have of lately my Running ME 3.0.2 it's like a shadow in the videos. I know it should be a setting to fix that problem

Perhaps it's the Mixer FX? Go to the Mixer FX window and make sure that all the yellow and pink buttons are disabled. Does that fix the problem?

When using The Pioneer SZ make sure your channels on the set up are on 9 & 10. thats how i get video and sound on my left and rights.
