dj_marv Hi, Im thinking of this set up 1. Main laptop screen - Showing Serato DJ 2. A 7inch monitor connected via HDMI/VGA/Thunderbolt - displaying the ME3 decks and/or displaying the main ME3 Output (for playing at clubs where i can see any screens) 3. The Club HD (connected via another Thunderbolt/HDMI/VGA) screen displaying the ME3 Output. I find that having ME3's decks overlayed on my laptop obscures my serato library view. Is this set up possible on a macbook? Thanks
dj_marv Hi Nick, I know i can only select one main output for ME. I sort of have an idea how i can get the ME decks to display on a 2nd external monitor by dragging and dropping. In the situation i want the second ext screen to display the main output of ME (to monitor what the crowd is seeing) how can i manage this? Basically as a mirror of the clubs output
Nick Check out the manual on the Full Screen control: http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/mainwindow/ You should be able to select any of the 3 screens with the pop-up menu.
dj_marv Maybe I'm not explaining what i hope to achieve properly. This is the situation - I have a Macbook Pro (with HDMI out and 2 Thunderbolt ports that can be used) When i play with Serato DJ and Mix Emergency 3, i will normally just connect the clubs Projector or TV screens to my HDMI port. In Mix Emergency i will select that as the main output. But now i want to take plug in a second monitor (eg via Thunderbolt - HDMI) to my laptop. You might ask why 1. I want to have the second connected screen to mirror the club/venue display i.e it should be showing the main output of ME3 at the same time as the venue/club display Let me just leave it at that one example so i dont complicate things. So is this possible? Can i mirror external monitors only i.e One External Monitor mirroring the other.
Nick Ah, I see. I believe that there is a way to mirror them - I'm not entirely sure how though. If not, you could always use the Mutliple Window Preview mode of MixEmergency, and then drag the Output Preview onto the 2nd monitor.
dj_marv Hey Nick, Was there an option to choose how you want the edge of the videos to show? eg inverted mirror, blurring etc i cant find it again or was i hallucinating
