"Movie Export Failed"

So I just tried to export my recorded 3.5 hr video and I got an error part of the way through "Movie export failed with error -50" Ideas?

Hmm. I just went back and was able to export the whole video.... but the audio cuts off part of the way through.

Hmmmm - I haven't seen that error code before. It is strange that it would let you export it the second time around. Can you check the .wav file that was recorded and check that your entire performance is in there?

I found the wav and its only 1:20;01. That's strange, right?

Yes, that is strange. I suspect that is what is causing the error. Can you check the file and let me know what the file size is? Just go into the Finder, locate the file, right-click and go to Get Info, and then there is a Size field. I'm interested in the file size in bytes.

.wav file is 846,991,360 bytes

Nick I am having this issue as well, and never had this happen until Xmas. I have been trying to export since then, may I get your help?

The exact same issue? (i.e. error -50, etc)

Just got back in and it's doing the same error message since 2 days ago. I've tried everything and never had this problem before

The error is a "fileBoundsErr" error. What export settings are you using? How long is the mix? And, are you exporting it to a FAT32 formatted drive? (this is often the problem)

Mix is 1hr 15min I've used Custom, Movie to QuickTime High Quality, Fastest encode 25 fps Best Qaulity, Slow encode 29.97 Yes My SD card is Fat32 but I've used that before and had no problems. I even have put it on my internal HD. Now I am getting Move Error -35. Please Help Nick!!r

DO you think I need to reinstall my 2.10?

-35 is "no such volume" - not sure why that might be happening. Make sure there is a whole lot of space on your internal drive, and try exporting to that. Definitely don't export to your SD card. Once the file reaches 4GB in size on the FAT32 drive it'll fail with that "fileBoundsErr".
