Midi LED Output Question

I noticed mapping an output to a button to image on/off for instance. It will send an on message which illuminates the button but doesn't send an off message to turn the led off. What method can be used to resolve this or is this a midi implementation limit currently?

That's odd - it should be sending an off message. Have you tried logging the MIDI messages with another app just to be certain?

Here is the example, device - Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Text Overlay On/Off Midi In -------- Mapping: Note: B3 Channel: 15 Fine: N/A Mode: Note On Toggle Shift: None Midi Out: Note: B3 Channel: 15 I tried using Analog mode and it didn't make a difference with the output behaviour. I can't really use this mode because it makes the button momentary instead of a toggle.

Try using this app to check your MIDI messages: http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ It's working fine for me - clicking on and off are sending MIDI messages.

I enabled the spy on output option, here is the log for the same button. 12:43:51.341 From Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note On 15 B3 127 12:43:51.360 To Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note On 15 B3 127 12:43:51.487 From Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note Off 15 B3 0 12:43:57.802 From Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note On 15 B3 127 12:43:57.819 To Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note Off 15 B3 0 12:43:57.958 From Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Note Off 15 B3 0 So it looks like it sends the message to turn on the led but the off message doesn't turn it off for some reason.
