ME 3.0 makes my laptop slow

Hy just upgraded to ME 3.0 using my mid 2012 15" 2,6ghz MacBook Pro . When launching Me3.0 everything get's laggy from the wave form in serato dj to everything else even the finder . If i exit from Me3.0 and launch the previous ME2... Everything miraculously goes back to smooth . Any advice ? Am i the only one experiencing this ? Is there a problem because i have both versions of ME installed at the same time (latest 2... and 3.0 , i renamed them acordingly in the aplications folder) ? If there is such big difference maybe ME3 isn't using the same GPU that ME2. Cause from what i saw on the net your 2012 15" macbook pro has intel hd4000 and nvidia GT650M. What do you think about that Nick ? What i propose you to try is to download this : https://gfx.io/ Then try ME3 when the system is only using the intel GPU then make another try when the system is using only the nvidia GPU. Then use the one that works best for you

Hey... i have the same problem,running a MBP 15" mid 2012 with 16Gb ram and a 500gb solid state drive hard drive, but what mine does is.. waves get VERY choppy when i click the little square located on the right bottom corner which expands the external display, however if i manually stretch the external display to fit the whole external monitor,waves are nice and smooth :/ i know,very weird, i'll try those optimizations and will keep you posted...

I'm having the same issue... I have a late 2011 mbp 15'' 2.4 I7 16mb ram whenever I run 3.02 with my dd-sz and external HD drive it starts to slow everything down until I close me3 so my solution is to stay with 2.7 for now until this gets fixed. I have tried the optimization running mine at 300 mb and still have the same problem.

Do you have the same problems when using MixEmergency with videos from the internal drive? I know this might sound a bit strange, but does minimizing the Serato DJ interface make any difference? After, if it does, try maximizing it again and see if the problem persists.
