There was another user that had this issue recently. I can't remember if it was a RAM issue or hard-disk issue. Anyway, just check that you have enough free space on your hard-drive to save the recording. And.... when exporting, try reducing the cache size (400 MB should be fine) in the Advanced section of MixEmergency's preferences. Your 4 GB files should be fine.
