Adding MIDI-output for LEDs without input

Is it possible to add an MIDI-output without having said output being tied to an MIDI-input? Case in point; I have an Allen & Heath K2 which has a 4x4 button matrix that I'm using to launch clips from the clip bank. I would like to have the LEDs of the buttons to light up on when ME starts. I have no problem messing with the XML mapping files, if that's necessary.

I don't think it's possibly. There's no way to have MixEmergency send a signal to tell the lights to go on (for no reason other than to have them on) when it starts up.

You could hack a Serato DJ midi XML file to output fully lit state for "on" and for "off" of a certain function which you don't normally map, e.g. Keylock. AFAIK that would also work if said function triggers more than one LED

@radikarl I'm using Traktor for music, and it would indeed be possible to add a "lights on" output to Traktor. However, it would be more elegant if the output signal would come from MixEmergency's mapping itself. I can (and probably need to) go down the "map something you won't use often" route with MixEmergency itself since mapping multiple outputs is possible in ME as well.
