Recording with MacBook Pro Retina?

I have a newer 15" Retina with a Rane 62... How do I get the audio in my video recording since this MacBook doesn't have a mic input port?

If you're using Serato DJ, simply select the Rane 62 as the input device in MixEmergency, and set the channels to be the last 2 channels (not 1 & 2).

Nick I am using a NUMARK NS7 -- i see (Core Audio and Bit Accurate), so are you saying chose channel(s) 2 and 2? Not sure if i follow....... I click either option and select 2 and 2 but no activity in the bar........Am I missing anything?? Tru

The advice above is only for the Rane mixers. I'm not familiar with the routing of the Numark NS7. Perhaps you can try testing the different channels to see if one of them allows you to record the "mix out"? You should be able to use any application for this - MixEmergency, Audacity, Garageband, etc.

Gotcha!!! Okay -- Thanks..hmmmmm Although it sees my hardware? I will try Garage Band.......since it came with my mac (Retina) this year...brand new.....no mix out :-(

I tired garageband and Audacity.....nothing worked......

Do you see it as an input device? If so, what channels are available to be recorded?

I just use my Rane 68 to mix on and SL3 to record the audio. Since Im usually using more than 2 or 3 syphon apps I use screenflow to record the pic and the audio comes up as an input. The other way is with Syphon recorder and my SL3.
