What's the best Macbook pro to use with MixEmergency

I noticed that there are known issues with NVIDIA GeForce 8600 which are in the last 2 Macbook Pro's besides the latest release. Knowing that what is the best and most stable Macbook pro to use with MixEmergency?

There is a bug in the current release of MixEmergency (Public Beta 2) that causes very low frames rates when using the NVIDIA GeForce 8600 cards. This will also likely affect the newer NVIDIA graphics processors (this has been untested however). There will be a fix for this issue soon. Currently the best MacBook Pro to use would be one with an ATI graphics processor (such as the one you currently have - as you described in the other thread). However, this will no longer be the case once the fix relating to NVIDIA graphics processors is released.

With the release of MixEmergency Public Beta 3 (which fixes problems with NVIDIA graphics processors) I would now recommend the use of the newer MacBook Pros (i.e. any of the models sold since the beginning of this year that have NVIDIA graphics processors).

The early 2008 mbp has analogue video out - the new mbp is digital ! If your planning on using ME in a venue, they will most likely have an analogue matrix to their screens. The early 2008 mbp is identified by a silver boarder around the screen, not black. Ta
