1 button toggle for the display of the samples?

Is there any way to midi map a single button to display the sample window visuals. It seems that I have to map the on and the stop on separate buttons? Regards Keefy

It depends on the media you have loaded. What are you using? Images/Videos? In generaly, you can map just a single button. There are 3 play modes that you can select form though: Play Through (plays from the start to the end), Play While Held (plays while the sample trigger is held), and Play/Stop (trigger once to begin playback, and again to stop). Blend - selects the blending mode that is used to composite the sample (e.g. Multiply, Difference, etc). Taken from the manual, here: http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/sampleplayerwindow/

This might be a noob question, but I use the buttons on my macbook key board to trigger sera to SP6.. Im trying to map an image in ME sample player to the same button as well but nothing is happening, its staying red. Is this possible or do i need a midi controller? have watched this tutorial

It's not possible to map keyboard buttons at the moment - so you'll need to use a MIDI controller.
